The trip to three UNESCO-listed cultural heritage sites, Pashupatinath, a famous Hindu temple, where cremation processes happen regularly. On this trip, you will also visit the beautiful lake city Pokhara, the tourism capital of Nepal where you can indulge your senses in its beautiful surrounding nature, as well as enjoy exciting adventure activities. From Sarangkot, a village atop a mountain close to Pokhara, you will have a magnificent sunrise view of the Himalayan ranges.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal
Welcome to Nepal! We hope you are ready to start your adventure with us. You will be met at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) upon arrival and will be transferred to your accessible hotel in Kathmandu for the night. Here you can rest up and prepare for the start of your exciting adventure!
Day 02: Visit Boudhanath, Pasupatinath and Namo Buddha
Today we will be exploring two of the Kathmandu Valley’s UNESCO World Heritage sites, Pashupatinath Temple and the Boudhanath Stupa . Pashupatinath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is the largest temple complex in Nepal. Pashupatinath is a living cultural heritage site, one of only few in the world. It is full of life and energy and here you can observe the active participation of people in rituals that are spread throughout the day. There is alot to explore in Pashupatinath including 492 temples, but keep in mind that only Hindus are allowed through the gates of the main temple.
Next up is the Boudhanath Stupa. Erected in the 14th century, the Stupa is a sacred destination for Buddhists. The monument is used for meditation, worship and for offerings and is a focal point of the area. To represent the all-knowing nature of the Buddha, the tower’s base is adorned with decorative eyes pointing in all cardinal directions, past visitors have said that it feels as if the tower is watching you! The Stupa is incredibly beautiful and its surroundings peaceful, it’s hard not to feel relaxed in its presence.
Located 40km from the Boudhanath Stupa, Namo Buddha is our next destination. Nestled within a forest, there is much to see in here including a large Buddhist monastery and famous stupa. Here, you can make traditional offerings of butter lamps as you observe the stunning views over the Himalayan mountains. The stupa is said to have been built on the bones of a Prince who gave his life to save a tigress and her cubs and is an incredibly important pilgrimage site for Buddhists.
Day 03: Free time in Namo Buddha
Today you will have some free time in Namo Buddha, you can explore the area further or just relax in the peaceful surroundings. Today you ll get chance to meet Monks and learn Basic Buddhism.
Day 04: Fly from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa and drive to Lumbini
After a short flight and half an hour drive, you will arrive in the birthplace of Buddha, Lumbini! The site is incredibly important to Buddhists, attracting many pilgrims from all over the world. You can visit several sacred sites within Lumbini, including a sandstone carving from the 14th century depicting the birth of Buddha, Pushkarini a sacred pond and the Mayadevi Temple which has been identified as the exact spot of Buddha’s birth – this temple is the most sacred place in Lumbini. Your trip here is truly a once in a lifetime experience, take the time to truly immerse yourself in its tranquil surroundings and appreciate its spiritual atmosphere.
Day 05: Explore Lumbini
There is so much to learn in Lumbini, today we will spend another day exploring the site. Find a spot in the garden and take some time to reflect and maybe meditate. You can even join a yoga class to take your relaxation to the next level!
Day 06: Fly to Pokhara
Today we will be boarding a flight to Pokhara, at only 20 minutes it might be one of the shortest flights you will ever take! Complete with a seemingly endless list of things to do and see, ample great restaurants and a laid-back charm, Pokhara is one of Nepal’s most popular destinations. Stretched along the Phewa lake, you will be blown away by the city’s surrounding scenery. From the city, you’ll have great views of Phewa Taal (lake), Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri mountain ranges.
Day 07: Sunrise tour to Sarangkot & Hiking Trail
Early morning sunrise tour to Sarangkot then back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we will be making the journey up to the Deurali- Naudanda trail, Asia’s first accessible trail, that was opened to the public in 2018. This 1.3 km route is equipped with ample signage indicating distance to toilets and steepness, handrails and accessible toilets. The trail offers those with different abilities the chance to go on a hike through Nepal’s mountains. This trail will give you a fantastic view of Mt Annapurna, Mt Fishtail and Mt Manaslu. It truly is an adventure!
Day 08: Explore Pokhara
Time to explore Pokhara. Pokhara is known as the city of lakes, and here you can see stunning natural heritage sites including caves, temples and lakes. There are many things for you to do, you could take a boat trip on Phewa’s placid waters to enjoy these views from a different perspective. Or perhaps you can take a trip out of Pokhara itself to visit some incredible natural sites including the Mahendra Cave, a large limestone cave famous for its stalactites and stalagmites and Patale Chhango (Devil’s Fall) an incredibly waterfall that is a fabulous photo spot. Pokhara also boasts several interesting cultural sites, such as the World Peace Pagoda which is situated on the southern edge of Phewa lake its great viewpoint giving you another fantastic view over the Annapurna mountains. You simply won’t be bored during your time here!
You will also have the chance to visit Sarangkot. This perfectly situated viewpoint offers you the most incredible views over the Annapurna mountain range. Here, you will get to watch the way the light changes as it rises and sets over the Himalayan peaks. You can even grab a freshly brewed hot drink from a selection of stalls and tea houses that are nearby. Sarangkot viewpoint can be accessed by car so there is no need to undertake a gruelling hike!
Day 09: Flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu and Visit Patan Durbar Square
On your last full day with us, you will be touring Patan, one of the Kathmandu Valley’s three ancient cities. The old Newari city lies across the river form Kathmandu and has managed to retain its old world charm, here you will enjoy touring its 55 major temples, its collection of fine metal works and its Durbar Square which is another of the Valleys UNESCO World Heritage sites. In this square you will visit the old royal palace as well as an array of beautiful temples. These temples are examples of Newari architecture and are said to be some of the best in Nepal.
Day 10: Departure
Departure day! A transfer will take you to the airport. We hope you have had a wonderful adventure with us, hopefully we will see you again soon.
