Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal
Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our representative will greet you and transfer to your accessible hotel in Kathmandu. Take the rest of the day to relax, settle in and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.
Day 02: Fly to Nepalgunj (50 minutes), Drive to Bardiya National Park (2–3 hours) & Tharu Village Tour
After a short scenic flight to Nepalgunj, enjoy a pleasant drive across the Terai plains to Bardiya National Park. Once you arrive and settle into your lodge, join an evening guided walk through a local Tharu village. This immersive experience introduces you to the vibrant culture, traditions, and warm hospitality of the indigenous Tharu community.
Day 03: Bardiya Wildlife Safari Adventure
Today brings a full day of wildlife exploration in the pristine jungles of Bardiya. Explore on a guided safari deep into the forest, where you’ll have excellent opportunities to spot diverse wildlife. With a bit of luck, you may even see the endangered Royal Bengal Tiger, a truly unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime moment. Spend the night at your lodge inside Bardiya National Park.
Day 04: Tiger Tracking & Birdwatching
With over 900 bird species found in Nepal, Bardiya is a paradise for bird enthusiasts. Led by expert naturalists, enjoy a day of birdwatching as you identify resident and migratory species, including those flying south from Siberia during winter. Continue your wildlife adventure with additional tiger-tracking opportunities, exploring deeper into the forest’s tranquil setting.
Day 05: Tiger Tracking Tour
Dive further into the art of tiger tracking with your experienced guide. Learn how to read the forest by identifying paw prints, scratch marks, scat, and other subtle clues that reveal the presence of these majestic cats. Whether or not you spot a Royal Bengal Tiger, the experience provides valuable insight into their behavior and the thrill of tracking wildlife in its natural habitat.
Day 06: Karnali River Dolphin Sightseeing, Drive to Nepalgunj & Fly Back to Kathmandu
Before departing Bardiya, enjoy an exciting excursion to the Karnali River, the longest river in Nepal and home to the rare freshwater Gangetic dolphin. These highly intelligent mammals are unique to South Asia’s river systems. Along the riverbanks, your guide will also highlight various species of river birds.
After the tour, drive back to Nepalgunj for your return flight to Kathmandu. Spend the night in Kathmandu.
Day 07: Departure
Your journey concludes today. A private accessible transfer will take you to the airport for your international departure. We hope you leave with unforgettable memories and look forward to welcoming you back to Nepal again soon.
